Overview
I’ll be able to open you several doors that are generally closed to the public because I oversaw a religious heritage non-profit organisation for many years. One could question why the nation’s capital city, which today has the least amount of religious practise in the entire western world, has such a rich religious legacy. From the city’s heyday to the present, when many religious structures are being transformed into other endeavours (theatres, public libraries, housing developments, etc.), this tour chronicles the story of all relevant religious communities. You’ll be in for not just a treat… but a royal treat as one of the only tour guides in the city with full access to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the first Anglican cathedral constructed outside the British Isles! Roman Catholicism, Anglicanism, Presbyterianism, Methodism, United Church of Christ, Baptistism, Congressionalism, and Judaism will all be covered in detail.
