  • What is Administration?

Ans: Administration is the decision of fundamental principles and objectives after staying at the organisation’s apex. According to Schulze, the administration is the power of the institution which decides principles and objectives. In the context of decided principles, the organisation and management continue incessant efforts to actualize them.

Ans: Through enquiry observation and research the discovery of any basic principles is called a science; when in the case of management some basic principles are discovered and applied, it is called Scientific Management. So, to increase organisational efficiency, different principles and processes are applied in management, through scientific research and enquiry, it is called Scientific Management.

  • State Taylor’s Contribution to Management.

Ans: Taylor is known as the father of Scientific Management. Through data enquiry in management, its analysis and examination, fundamental principles and work process will be determined. According to him, the basic principles of Scientific Management are as follows: (a) formulation of well-defined planning, (b) time-fixation of different works, (c) time and motion study, (d) appointment of properly qualified employees, etc.
